I love long walks. And one of the things that gets me out the door faster is when one of my favorite podcasts has the ‘new’ label.
When that ‘new’ label appears it means that a new episode has dropped and is ready for me to push play.
Often times these podcasts brighten my mood. I almost always, always learn something new that I can apply to my own fitness regimen. These podcasts expose me to parts of the fitness realm that I wouldn’t normally seek out myself.
Here are my top 3 favorite fitness podcasts that you are definitely going to want to add to your queue.
I seriously almost didn’t subscribe to this podcast based on the name alone. I thought it was lame and childish, so naturally the information presented would be sub-par.
I honestly don’t even remember what made me listen to one of their episodes. I probably figured I could spare a few minutes on a walk listening to a couple of guys sitting around chatting about strength training and then move on to something else.
Here is what I do know. Their conversations about fitness are practically hypnotizing. As former personal trainers (on a recent podcast they say they do a bit of training now, but far less than they used too) they are a wealth of information and much of it comes from both personal and professional experience.
Don’t make the same mistake I did. Give them a listen. You won’t be disappointed.
All About Fitness
This podcast is run by a fitness professional named Pete McCall. He holds a lot of certifications (from the likes of ACE, NASM and NSCA) and has been working in the professional fitness industry for a very long time.
He speaks with some of the top experts in their field – nutrition, health, you name it – and brings us along for the ride.
If you’re interested in hearing personal stories from bodybuilding professionals, this is the podcast for you.
And it ain’t all rosy. Many of the guests talk openly about their road to stardom and success and things they wished their younger selves knew along the way.
I put this one last because a lot of their guests have also created programs for the bodybuilding.com website.
I get the marketing savvy of cross-promoting your products on multiple platforms, but the consumer in me doesn’t like to be consistently ‘sold’ to.
But don’t let that stop you from subscribing. I am constantly being introduced to players in the bodybuilding space that I have never heard of before and that have been around for a long time. This is a good podcast to narrow that knowledge gap.
