Why A Loved One May Not Step Forward During A Mediumship Reading

If you have a mediumship reading and a loved one you were hoping would come through does not step forward, you may be wondering to yourself, what does that mean?

In the event that a medium is not able to connect with the person that you wanted to hear from please know that does not mean that your deceased loved one is:

  • refusing to speak with you
  • angry with you
  • not in a safe place (you may have concerns that they didn’t cross over peacefully or were refused entrance to the other side)
  • not around you (this can often be accompanied by the feeling that you’re not receiving their signs and symbols)

Many clients fear that their loved ones and friends who have crossed won’t speak with them once they’ve crossed to the other side if they left on bad terms here in the physical world.

An example would be if a nephew and uncle had an argument and stopped speaking to each other for fifteen years. If the uncle passed away before the nephew and uncle had the opportunity to reconcile, it is not uncommon for the nephew to attend a mediumship reading wondering if their stalemate would continue following the uncle’s passing.

I can share with you that in my experience working with the spirit world, if the nephew in the above scenario wanted to hear from his uncle then the uncle would step forward. In fact, the uncle could step forward and it would be the nephew that decides whether they wanted to receive the message from their uncle in the spirit world.

Timing

Another reason you may not hear from a specific loved one is because they cannot be of the most help to you at the time of your reading.

A client may very much want to hear from their deceased friend, but instead they hear from their grandmother. In this example the grandmother may be aware of difficulties that the client is facing with their business and wants to provide guidance that will help them get back on track.

Since the grandmother started their family-run business she is the best person to assess the situation and deliver the messages the client needs to hear at that moment in time.

Grief

Everyone experiences grief in their own way. To make matters more confusing, the same person can lose two people and have completely different reactions to their passing. Sometimes we don’t realize how much a person mattered in our lives until they are gone. Other times, it would be impossible not to remember how someone we’ve lost shaped our very existence.

Not all communication from our deceased loved ones is in our best interest. You may feel that you want to hear from someone who has crossed over, but the spirit world may feel that communication would only worsen your grief. In which case, that particular deceased loved one would not step forward during your mediumship reading.

My advice to you would be if you have a mediumship reading and the person that you wanted to hear from doesn’t come through it’s most likely just not the right time for you to hear from them.
